Liza Reed is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Georgia and also telehealth in Florida.

Ms. Reed received her Masters of Science in Miami, Florida at Barry University with specialties in Marriage and Family Therapy and Mental Health Counseling. She has advanced training in working with high-conflict couples and families.  She specializes in working with couples and families in high-conflict and transition, anxiety disorders, OCD and personality disorders.  Liza was regularly featured as the appearing psychotherapist on TLC's television program Hoarding: Buried Alive and Sister Wives and travels throughout Georgia to speak on issues of mental health for numerous organizations, including Georgia Division of Aging; Alzheimer’s Association; select private schools and organizations that employ social workers, nurses and other healthcare professionals. Ms. Reed has practiced in outpatient hospital settings working with severe and persistent mental illness, with teens struggling with behavioral disorders in a psychiatric residential treatment facility, at The Anxiety and Stress Management Institute specializing in anxiety disorders, and private practice working with individuals, couples and families. 

Qualifications & Experience:

> M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy and Mental Health Counseling from Barry University.

> Intensive Training from Behavioral Tech, LLC in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

> Emotionally Focused Couples/Family Therapy (Externship/Core Skills) and member of ICEEFT, Atlanta Center for Emotionally Focused Therapy (ACEEFT)

> Prolonged Exposure (PE) for trauma treatment with Melanie Harned, Ph.

> Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for anxiety and OCD from the International OCD Foundation's (IOCDF) Behavioral Therapy Training Institute (BTTI).  

> Specialized trainings for high-conflict families/couples with Alan Fruzzetti, Ph. D

> Director of Skills Groups for Metro Atlanta DBT (www.dbtga.com), a cooperative network of DBT clinicians in Metro Atlanta

> Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor (CPCS 1469) in the state of Georgia. ​
