As a child and adolescent therapist, I acknowledge the challenges we as parents often experience. By working with children and their parents as a family system, there is an increase in the overall efficacy of treatment. Often, many of our struggles as a family stem from our ability to fully understand each other’s experiences and viewpoints. Learning to communicate more effectively, regulate emotions, and be more mindful in our everyday lives can drastically improve our personal and familial experiences.
